Watch: Jorge Elbrose Showcase ‘Called To Ring’ Video

Jorge Elbrecht self-directs a clip for his and Ariel Pink’s fuzzy collaborative triumph.

Through the thick fog of Jorge Elbrose’s (that’s Jorge Elbrecht and Ariel Pink’s new project) ‘Called to Ring’ song, there’s a big fat overwhelming swarm of guitars that, taken on their individual parts, represent some seriously immersive flavours. Together they’re even more powerful. The same goes for ‘Called to Ring”s video, which lends the track an almost underground cult identity, as hooded guitarists bow down to shadowy figures and commanding, hologram versions of stone statues. If it sounds ridiculous, that’s because it is.

The track’s taken from Mexican Summer’s Five Years compilation. Jorge Elbrecht directs.
