Watch: U.S. Girls Shares ‘Slim Baby’ Video

The song comes from the FatCat-released debut album ‘Gem’, with Meghan Remy set to visit the UK for full band live dates in December.

U.S. Girls has unveiled the video for ‘Slim Baby’, taken from her debut album out now on FatCat.

Meghan Remy, who released LP ‘Gem’ (co-produced by her husband Slim Twig) last month through the independent label, premiered the self-directed video through Bowlegs yesterday - and you can watch it above.

Talking about the song, she said:

‘Slim Baby is a love song. Written first in 2010 as a sort of dub song then, reworked in 2012 to mimic Gary Glitter’s ‘I Love You Love Me Love’. This idea arose because the vocal melody was unintentionally so similar to G.G.’s chorus melody. If the glove fits…

‘Tried to really get the Glitter Band sound on this one. A pep rally for L-O-V-E…All the lovers stomping their feet in the bleachers, clapping along.”

It’s the second single to come from the artist’s debut full-length, with Meg set to play a number of shows with a full band in the UK next month as part of a November and December European tour.
