XL Records have announced they will be selling a ‘Record Label Starter Kit’ at tomorrow’s Independent Label Market.
The package includes the master tapes, lifetime copyright and one page contract for an EP called ‘Fresh Touch’, recorded in Ethiopia by Richard Russell and XL’s in-house engineer Rodaidh McDonald.
The founders of several independent record labels will be holding their own market down London’s Berwick Street on 21st May, with the likes of Domino, Angular and Bella Union all manning their own stalls.
There will also be several guest appearances from bands, including These New Puritans, Mumford & Sons, Adele, White Lies, Hot Chip and The Big Pink.
