Event Secret Cinema open RebelX stores in East London

Secret Cinema are expanding into the nightclub business with the Secret Nightclub which is linked to their upcoming immersive cinema event, Secret Cinemas Presents Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

The Secret Nightclub is exclusively accessible to those who have purchased a ticket to the current Secret Cinema production and launched on the 14th May with a cantina club. Clubbers were given mysterious instructions to follow including a dress code and props guidelines with the location only discoverable through a secret telephone line. Live music performances and sets from special secret DJs are the order of the day and visitors can expect some “otherworldly beings” guarding the doors. It’s like a 1989 acid house rave only with slightly better technology than a pay phone, map and a rusty Cortina.

As well as the nightclub, Secret Cinema have opened the RebelX stores in East London which will stock equipment and supplies for members of the Rebel Alliance - Secret Cinema Star Wars ticket holders.

The stores are set to remain open throughout the summer months for ticket holders to purchase apparel and props for the journey into space as well as to discover RebelX tactics and learn how to gain access to the nearby secret Rebel base - which is definitely not on Dantooine in case anyone asks. Check www.rebelxbase.co for the latest news from the Rebel Alliance with radio and video transmissions and chatroom which enables members to connect with other rebels globally.

Ticket holders will be given a code to register and retrieve their own personalised RebelX ID card which will inform them of their rank, name and required dress code within the Rebel Alliance. An interactive map will then allow Rebels to find other members of the Alliance in their neighbourhood and connect via the chatroom. It’s worth noting that website registrations are compulsory to validate tickets and to collect assigned characters for Secret Cinema Presents Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
