Coming Soon: Details released for The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies Extended Edition DVD

It will be released on 23rd November.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have announced the details of the Blu-ray 3D, DVD and Digital HD release of The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies Extended Edition on 23rd November.

The Extended Edition of The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies features a 20 minute longer cut of the film as well as more than nine hours of new special features.

Martin Freeman (Sherlock) returns as Bilbo Baggins whose adventure comes to an epic conclusion as the dragon, Smaug wreaks a terrible revenge against the men, women and children of Lake-town. With the King Under the Mountain, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) succumbing to dragon-sickness and alienating his friends in his relentless search for the Arkenstone, Bilbo is forced to make a desperate choice in an attempt to make him see reason. The races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must make a decision to unite or be destroyed as the Dark Lord, Sauron returns to Middle-earth and his legions of Orcs lead a surprise attack on the Lonely Mountain.

Directed by Peter Jackson, the international cast includes Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, James Nesbitt, Ken Stott, Aidan Turner, Dean O’Gorman, Graham McTavish, Stephen Fry, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Jed Brophy and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug.

As well as The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Extended Edition, The Hobbit Trilogy Extended Edition will also be available on Blu-ray 3D and DVD, featuring all three films in the trilogy - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies extended editions.
