Formed in April this year, Bong Idle have made an immediate impact with their first recordings and for good reason. The ‘Night Of The Living Blunt’ EP is an aural assault of noise pop with psychedelic intensity. Don’t be fooled by its lo-fi nature, there is real musicianship at the heart of each of these songs. Each track has layers of depth and take unexpected turns to hold your interest.
The band line up is also an intriguing one with drummer and lead vocalist John fronting the band from the back, guitarist Matt providing awkward riffs with surf vibes and Kyle on bass giving it all backbone.
Having not yet played live, the city of Manchester will host their debut gig on 21st July at Fuel Bar closely followed on the 23rd with a show at The Victoria in Stoke.
