Don’t trust an act who claim to reside in the South Pole. Chances are they’re playing the anonymous card, shrouding their songs – most likely recorded in a Dalston bedsit – in a veil of mystery. I’m going to wage on CELENEDIVINE being London-based. There’s a snarl in the vocals that grace a song like ‘Retaliation’; a British tinge – somewhere between Only Real and Mica Levi. It’s not Eskimo-speak, that’s for sure.

While we’re talking about a band in the very first steps of their career, the three-track ‘24982’ EP is as good an introductory work as any. The quality seemingly enhances from one song to the next; its end-point representing something genuinely exciting. I would suggest you catch them live when the opportunity springs up, but unless you’re considering an expedition into the chillier parts of Planet Earth, you might have to wait a while.
