Pounding drums, skyscraper riffs, big, bold mantras; it all sounds like a formulaic cry out for an arena tour. In so many ways, Death At Sea represent a giant festival band in the making, trim cut for a big following and flag waving renditions. This’ll lead to a distinct splitting of opinion once the Liverpool group begin to make bigger waves - and they will, there’s little mistaking that.

Everything accompanying their two tracks to date - from tumblrised images of skinny, semi-nude women and ooh, look here, a lovebite - shows off both cliched style but also a clear knowledge of how to grab a passer by’s attention. ‘Set Foam Green’ and ‘Drag’, however, are totally irrelevant when it comes to fancy promo images. You’re encouraged to bask in the sweat-soaked, sedated guitar sections; brash and headstrong. Chanted calls of “when he’s with her, she bleeds glitter” in the latter song promise anthemic sing-alongs - it’s just a test of your nerve to see whether you can resist joining in.
