News Every Man Has Your Voice

Ridiculously talented multi-instrumentalists.

Though Every Man Has Your Voice unexplainably take their name from line in cult 80’s flick ‘Paris, Texas’, they’re actually from Paris, France (at least, that’s where they’re currently based). Made up of three old school friends from Northern France and a delicately voiced American girlfriend, Every Man are very close, and this definitely shows in the honesty and intimacy of their performances. All four members are ridiculously talented multi-instrumentalists, exchanging all manner of instruments including guitars, ukuleles, trumpets, saxophones, harmoniums, Tibetan singing bowls, tambourines and many more. Comparable at times to Fleet Foxes and others to Frightened Rabbit, yet definitely holding their own, their music is sorrowful, moody and full of beautiful harmonies.

Last year saw the release of a self-proclaimed “sonar voyage” in the form of their first EP, ‘Scissors To Your Memories’, on their tiny Parisian label Boutique Sonores. Having already performed at French festivals and playing frequently at venues across Paris, they’re fairly established within the (admittedly petite) Parisian indie-folk scene. Every Man are currently recording their first album, an album that promises “Dirty Projector-style songs, more harmonies, keyboards and beats yet still our olde-worlde instruments.” We can’t wait. The very hard-working, very talented Every Man Has Your Voice deserve the attention they get and so much more.
