News Father Sculptor
You’ve got a life that needs soundtracking and this may just be the band to do it.

Similar to: The Twilight Sad via The Smiths
Marking their arrival with whimsical indifference yet huge intent: ‘Father Sculptor are mildly pleased to announce they will be the soundtrack to your birth, divorce and death’, goes the bio. Having shed their own names in exchange for aliases - you get the feeling their intention to soundtrack your life is not one born from a desire for fame, but ultimately something purer - we know them only as Stringer Bell, The Greek, Poot, Cutty and D’Angelo.
With complimentary comparisons already being made to that of The Smiths, Father Sculptor have a lot to live up to, yet the capability to deliver is evident. There’s also a more powerful driving force behind the sound of Father Sculptor by comparison to that of the Mancunian legends which furthers their case. The delicate guitar parts and melancholic vocals are offset with deft driving feedback, and atmospheric synths wash over you to provide an enveloping sound.
Having self-released a song every few weeks throughout the summer, fans of Glasgow’s latest musical gift will not go without. After all, you’ve got a life that needs soundtracking and this may just be the band to do it.
