Advertorial post Go behind-the-scenes of Fender’s Undiscovered Artist of the Year 2017

Join winner Hattie Briggs as she guides us through her whole experience of the competition.

Over the past months, Fender have been searching for their Undiscovered Artist of the Year for 2017 and now that you - that’s right, you - have picked a winner, they’re giving you a chance to get a glimpse behind-the-scenes of this year’s competition.

After whittling down the hundreds of entries to just eight semi-finalists, it was then up to the brilliant Sherika Sherard, Hattie Briggs and Martha Phillips to perform live and battle it out in the final. After a wonderful final, the public voted Hattie Briggs as their winner and she then went on to open for Lucy Rose at her recent London show.

“I didn’t realise how many people were going to be involved,” Hattie says, in Fender’s new behind-the-scenes look back at the competition, “and how excited they’d be to get involved, then how excited they’d be to be involved because I won. I was kinda overwhelmed by the whole response!”

Check out the behind-the-scenes video documenting Hattie’s whole experience of the Fender Undiscovered Artist of the Year 2017 competition below, and keep your eyes peeled for 2018, when Fender will be returning for another round! Get practicing…
