GRMLN

Features GRMLN

A light, chilled out sound with a genuinely invigorating sense of escape.

“College student” GRMLN has called his first EP ‘First Phase’, and in so many ways, we’re left hoping that it’s the first of many.

One step onwards from basic, limited guitar pop, the man who calls himself “Yoodoo” takes things further, colouring a light, chilled out sound with a genuinely invigorating sense of escape. It makes sense; the guy comes from California’s Lake Forest. In the three tracks he’s unveiled to date, the guitars are refrained and cheerful, the drums don’t always hit the beat in time, because they’re so god Damn relaxed and happy, and the vocals give off the sound of being shrouded under a blanket of sedated satisfaction. Summertime bliss in the form of three tracks.
