With ‘Longings’ – Jogging House’s third EP – you’re taken on a journey through six tracks of restrained R&B, strung together by the lyrical obsession of longing for an other half. It’s a welcome and refreshing departure from the overtly sexual nature of standard R&B lyrics and shows a complex and intelligent approach to the writing. Vocals are sampled and used decoratively, integrating them into the music, presenting the lyrics almost as an instrument in their own right.
