Advertorial feature Introducing the boundless music talent at Berklee College of Music’s Valencia Campus

The first international campus of Berklee College of Music in Spain hosts talented musicians studying the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration).

Berklee College of Music is the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. Music has always played a significant role in the culture of Valencia. Various musical traditions are paramount pieces of the city’s heritage, represented in festivities, events, and the social life of the locals. Since Berklee’s arrival in Valencia, a whole new music scene has developed. Students come from all over the world, bringing with them a wide range of experience. This unique situation stimulates a groundbreaking environment for music and innovation.

Students of the programme come from an extensive variety of genres and styles such as jazz, Latin, world music, pop, rock, classical, electronic, and fusion. They are surrounded by talented peers from the other graduate programs on campus, such as music production and technology, scoring, and music business. In the collaboration among students, faculty, visiting artists, and locals, opportunities begin to form and creativity and the ability to innovate are put on centre stage.

The campus is situated in the City of Arts and Sciences, where futuristic and inspiring landscapes, thought-provoking buildings, and innovative structures contain state-of-the-art facilities and studios. Through private instruction, ensembles, performance forums, studio recordings, and frequent performance opportunities, students work to develop their artistic identity to shine on stage and in the studio.

This first international campus of Berklee was established in 2012 and since then a great number of students have taken advantage of the opportunities it provides. Find more information about the Berklee Master of Music in Contemporary Performance programme here.
