The Stockholm-based trio Postiljonen, two thirds Swedish and one third Norwegian, have spent the past year unveiling new tracks on their Vimeo and Soundcloud pages, each track coupled with a beautiful video. Thanks to this they’ve been building a steady following throughout the year, but the buck doesn’t stop with half-decent marketing skills. Musically it’s all there, with expertly crafted electronic dream pop to match the affecting imagery.

M83’s cinematic ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ is an obvious reference but there’s much more going on than “just another electropop act”, showcasing songwriting and production talent far above the average. Postiljonen have the potential to rise very high. Last time we heard from them was in early November with a the brilliant Whitney Houston tribute ‘How Will I Know / All That We Had Is Lost’, on which they complete reinvent Houston’s 1985 single and turn it into their own brand of dreamy electronic pop, with a distinct Scandinavian twist.
