Japan, Seattle, Brooklyn… It doesn’t really matter where Pwrfl Power is from. Wryly withering and observational songs litter his Myspace – sparse on detail, big on songs -that could be from just about anywhere. Although it probably helps to be in New York to find inspiration like that of ‘Coffee Girl’ - detailing a woman who’s a bit nuts after a cuppa, or ‘Alma Song’ with the punishing line ‘you are not that attractive – but something makes feel like you are going to be my girl’. It probably works a bit better in the no holds barred U.S of A.

Intricate backings, that would work prettily on their own are merely relegated to also-rans with this one, something as simple as chop sticks being crafted into an aww worthy mote. She may be pretty folks but she’s um, holding them wrong.
