Birmingham has been known as the home for quite a few things: UB40, metal and now a couple of ‘The Next Big Things’ in the form of Peace and Swim Deep.

Let it also be known that it is home to The Bombergs. The brain-child of both Rick Wellings and Mike Moloney (Mol to his mates), the band has almost played every venue in Birmingham at least twice over. They gig hard.

Walk into any local venue and they will most probably be on the line up or are set to play there the following week. Attend any local gig and they will be there, watching intently in the crowd. I even found them pissed out of their minds in a local takeaway after a night out on the town once.

Both who they are and what they sound like as a band has Birmingham written all over it.
