Best of 2014 The DIY List 2014: Woman’s Hour - what we learned from making our debut
Four-piece reflect on a defining year that gave way to their first work, ‘Conversations’.
Still firmly taking their first steps, for Woman’s Hour 2014 represented a milestone. Years in the making, ‘Conversations’, their debut album, came out at the beginning of the summer. Since then they’ve taken on a full-time touring drummer, discovered new meanings in the songs and entered a new chapter.
In the years before, they took months out of the spotlight (following a brief buzzy spell) to find out who they really were as a band. It’s early days, but Woman’s Hour already strike as a band skilled in looking in from the outside, seeing how they can progress.
With that, we’ve picked out quotes from this year that show the group reflecting on their first work.
Woman’s Hour are at #80 in the DIY List 2014 - follow everything here.
