THE GIG
Dan Croll, Khushi, Racing Glaciers - London, The Lexington

Expect The Lexington to be heaving tonight; not only for headliner Dan Croll (pictured, whose debut album lands before 2013’s done) but also for Khushi, whose initial tracks play out like a cross between Washed Out and Baths, only 100 times more radio friendly than both combined.

THE SONG
bare/bear - who who who

Lowercase letters for a low-esteemed kid. Steven, a songwriter from Beaumont, pens sad little songs under his bare/bear name. He dresses them up in sounds prettier than he gives credit, lacing them all with a brilliantly indicative, teen perspective. Honest, but not dauntingly so, on ‘who who who’ his grimly told tales find their perfect home. Like Bon Iver’s snow cabin with a little warmth let in.

Keep pressing play, too, as the EP continues down its clever route of emblazoned beats and devious futuristic ideas.
