News The Neu Bulletin (21st January 2013)

Your new music medicine, curated by Neu. Featuring The Yawns and Infinite Bisous.

Every day of the week, Neu gives you a choice show and a selection of new music tips, all in the name of exposing you to something new and exciting.

If there’s a gig that’s worth heading to, we’ll tell you all about it, and if there’s a song you need in your life, we’ll make sure it doesn’t fly under the radar. It’s the Neu Bulletin.

The Yawns, Old Men - The Old Blue Last, London

The Yawns are a slightly untarnished treasure, albeit one that deserves its stay in the limelight. Old Men (whose next gig is supporting Bloc Party at Earls Court, believe it or not) have the supporting slot. RSVP here.

These songs emerge from the very depths of night, like a lone creature emerging out from the cracks, below the streetlights. Stark and vulnerable, a song like ‘Cameron’ is there to be poked and prodded for flaws. But despite its hard-edged production style, even the moodiest cynic is likely to fall in love.
