News The Neu Bulletin (26th March 2014)

Neu’s Wednesday batch of tips contains East, Sasha Keable and Ghost Twins.

The Neu Bulletin is a daily update of the most exciting new things DIY’s listening to. Some of the music you’ll like, some of it you won’t. We can’t please everyone, sorry.

Every day we offer up a choice show, a song of the day (branched under the understated heading “big Neu thing”) and a little something extra that’s caught our attention. Check back here every day for your latest Neu Bulletin delivery.

THE GIG
Sasha Keable supports Katy B - London, Koko

Sasha Keable’s rise to solo stardom doesn’t stop short at a recent guest spot on Disclosure’s debut album. Tonight she supports the brilliant Katy B for a sold out show at London KOKO.

THE BIG NEU THING
East - Old Age

It’s nonsense for East to be considering things like pensions and retirement homes at this stage. The supremely young, New South Wales, AUS resident gets wound up in the traditional fears of time staying too many steps ahead. There’s no time to keep track, so what’s the best solution? How best to make the most of youth? Become mega famous by writing a song like ‘Old Age’. Problem solved.

OTHER NEU BUSINESS
Ghost Twins - Breaking Friends

Although full of pretty melodies and kooky riffs, Derby two piece Ghost Twins’ quirky brand of electronic music is still just as thoughtful as it is enjoyable. Newest track ‘Breaking Friends’ is no exception; poignantly pondering the collapse of a friendship over waves of ephemeral and warm synth hooks. [Kyle MacNeill]
