THE GIG
Valentina - London, The Lexington
If you’ve managed to steer yourself out of a clutch of tear-sodden sheets after hearing Valentina’s original version of ‘Gabriel’, you’ll be able to check her out for a timely London show ahead of the release of ‘Wolves’, her new EP.
THE SONG
Letters to Fiesta - Vampires
Within seconds of playing ‘Vampires’ you’ll figure out where it belongs. Dark, lurking alleyways. Church halls, with a gaping audience staring in silence. But it’s not all about location, this song. ‘Vampires’ is defined by its chorus, its darkness breeding life when all hope looked lost. This tops ‘Mesosphere’, which is quite the achievement.
OTHER NEU BUSINESS
LVLS - Let Go
If you’re not catered to flashing imagery you can still have quite the abrasive experience listening to new Manchester group LVLS’ third track to date. Some shredded guitars, ghostly vocals, and that right there folks is how you announce yourself as a formidable addition to a thriving scene.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
