A heartstring-pulling introduction about social anxiety, her delicate vocals over the soaring backing mirror the kind of magic Taylor Swift often conjures in her songwriting. We all know that people can be dicks online and that trolls - sadly - have become a usual occurrence, so what do you do when you’re faced with internet haters? Write a ridiculously infectious pop song with some cuttingly hilarious one-liners like Willow Kayne, of course. Sharing new banger ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ after facing some hate on TikTok, the vibrant new track is an empowering middle finger up to all those who chat shit online. We’ll be using “I don’t wanna know, not from no pussy-boy who still lives at home” as our comeback line for the foreseeable future. Thanks Willow. (Elly Watson)

Australian pop-R&B trio H3rizon bring wide-ranging vocal harmonies together in new single ‘Serious’, exploring the light-hearted idea that some relationships aren’t meant to be taken seriously. Consisting of Bernie, Taya and Gabby, the empowering girl group establish much-needed diversity both in music and in identity. With a distinct sound rife with pop, soul and R&B sensibilities, H3rizon are proving to be a force to be reckoned with. (Malvika Padin)

Tying in with the release of her new EP, ‘Motion Sick’, Pip Millett’s duet with Dutch-Sudanese artist Gaidaa is a soothingly sad embrace. With gentle guitars plucking, carefully woven samples and subdued vocal tones, there’s a sense of unity between the two voices who have both come through a bad situation that ‘could have worked’. This unflinching honesty is reflected throughout the recent project, which centres around accepting when things are out of control. As she says, “’Motion Sick’ is about the various changes in my life. With this change I have tried to find comfort in the simple things.” (Georgia Evans)

A blissfully cluttered bedroom pop anthem, ‘Sweet & Spice’ flits between Jim’s sickly sweet vocal alternations and bittersweet lines from Deb to the sound of melancholic melodies. The toe-tapping chorus comes underpinned with disarmingly confessional lines like, “Poison in your kiss, you love me to death, you’d do / Anything to get further in my head,” which have become a real signature for the Los Angeles artist. Having previously dabbled in emo, grunge, and hip-hop, this newest single is an enticing teaser to the new EP, ‘Where Have All The Flowers Gone?’ set for release next month. (Georgia Evans)
