It had to be. The best track from the best album of the year, by a country (or New York City) mile.

We’ve written and deleted hundreds of words already attempting to sum up just how amazing we think ‘All My Friends’ is, something along the lines of wondering how one man can create so much from what appears to be so little - James Murphy’s vocal amidst a persistent piano thump.

It’s capable of being every bit as emotional as ‘Someone Great’, although in an altogether different manner, of course. It’s able to fill dancefloors as quickly as ‘North American Scum’ or ‘Daft Punk Is Playing At My House’. If it weren’t for the fact it just isn’t true, we’d suggest it’s nearly as beautifully repetitive as ‘Yeah’. It’s not, but it might as well be - this is LCD Soundsystem’s greatest hour to date.
