It is hard to pinpoint what makes Two Jackals brilliant - there are so many interesting elements to their sound, oddly combining like you’ve rarely heard before. Pulsating electronic beats, thunderous bass patterns and dynamic percussion provide the heartbeat of their recordings, lending a strange, intriguing intimacy to the tracks. It all collides with elaborate, crystallised guitars, intricate melodies and supressed vocals, leading to thrilling crescendos. Before you start thinking this is all some post-xx concoction, a track like ‘Arrows’ will all of a sudden erupt into another being altogether.

It’s normally hard to judge the potential of a new band based on a couple of recordings, but we can promise you that Two Jackals are a sensational prospect. It’s extremely exciting; imagining the developments over the new few months, as they add further life to their already distinguished sound.
