Every dog has its day, or so someone very clever once said. So with Birmingham’s Peace and Swim Deep putting B-Town on the map, and Patterns, Shinies and various others doing the same for Manchester, it is only right that Nottingham sees its very own up rising courtesy of Childhood and neighbours Wanderlings.

After changing monikers from ‘Infinity Hertz’ earlier in the year and adding a couple of new members to bolster their sound, the five-piece’s new name also brings with it a slick change in direction. They’re more assured for start, with dream like synth textures that help create a delightfully serene, foggy headed pop structure.

Perhaps their new vibe is perfectly typified by standout track ‘Swingin’, which incorporates their Coors light vocals with some nimble guitar work to slide perfectly onto your summer 2012 play list. More recently the band added ‘Plague Me’ and ‘Homebirh’ to their impressive catalogue, these being songs that only further reiterate their undoubted potential.
