Interview Trash Fashion

‘It’s a rave Jeremiah’ just didnt have the same ring.

Technicolour London electro-punks Trash Fashion are due to follow-up from the sell-out 10’ vinyl and micro-anthem ‘It’s A Rave Dave’ with the release of new EP ‘Mom & Daddy’. Ahead of the record’s release, we had a quick Q&A session with bassist K-Bomb.

You’ve got a mammoth list of tour dates lined up - will we see you suffering from ‘exhaustion’ in six months time?
Haha probably, but we didn’t start a band to sit around at home and relax. Playing gigs and partying for six months sounds like a pretty good way to burn out.

In Googling ‘Trash Fashion’, we discovered Little Britain has a fashion line. Will you be following suit?
Well besides the merch we sell probably not, cause if Little Britain have done it, it’s almost bound to be exactly what we would come up with.

Who’s your ultimate ‘trash fashion’ style icon?
I dont know that we really have one. A lot of the stuff that hip hoppers like Pharrell are rocking is pretty fucking sweet. I guess you gotta give it up to David Bowie as well but we don¹t really dress too similarly to either of

You play a lot of all ages gigs - are you ‘down with the kids’? No, seriously, are underage fans particularly important to you as a band?
Yeah, kids rock, they let loose. Adults are too self-conscious for that, which is a shame. Kids just wanna have fun, and in turn, it’s much more fun to play for them.

Your new release is an EP called ‘Mom & Daddy’. Tell us something about it.
Besides the fact that everyone should buy it? Haha. It’s a lot more Trash Fashion sounding than our last release, ‘Rave Dave’. Some sweet screaming and heavy guitar. EAT IT!

Who’s Dave?
A name that rhymes with rave. ‘It’s a rave Jeremiah’ just didnt have the same ring.
