Bonobo announces new ‘Flashlight’ EP, streams title track
First material since ‘The North Borders’ arrives ahead of a massive Ally Pally show.
UK producer Bonobo has announced plans to release a new EP, ‘Flashlight’, ahead of his biggest UK shows to date.
Simon Green is bringing his ‘North Borders’ show to London’s Alexandra Palace on 28th November. Following that, he’s putting out ‘Flashlight’ - a new three track release that features his first new material since the 2012 LP.
Out 1st December, the new EP is being headed up by a lead title-track that premiered as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’ on Radio 1 last night. The lush instrumentation of his previous record remains, but ‘Flashlight’ is more centred on tiny subtleties, like a muted guitar line or a barely-lifting synth line that operates throughout. It’s a clever process designed to lure you in.
Listen to the new track below. Bonobo also plays Manchester’s Warehouse Project on 21st November.
Tracklist:
1. Flashlight
2. Pelican
3. Return to Air
