Simon Green, better known as producer Bonobo, has already recruited Rhye for the smooth ‘Break Apart’ and now he’s teamed up with Nick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker) for his latest cut ‘No Reason’.

The latest track to be taken from his upcoming album ‘Migration’, which is out on 13th January via Ninja Tune, apparently came about when Simon and Nick were discussing their shared love of disco. After playing an instrumental version of ‘No Reason’, Nick fell head over heels and laid down some vocal demos to match it.

The end result is a seven-minute moody dance track where Nick’s falsetto vocals drift over oddly delicate arpeggiated electronic soundscapes. It also fully embraces the album’s migratory theme. Nick repeats the line “we’ll move or go home somehow” and the track’s continually morphing beats and tone also reflect the core concept. It’s hard to find a reason not be absorbed into it.
