Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek Announces Debut Ramona Lisa Album
Surprising solo venture brings out a debut album ‘Arcadia’ this April. Listen to the lead, title-track now.

Caroline Polachek has started a new solo venture - separate from her customary synth pop project - called Ramona Lisa.
Going under the guise since last year, where she reportedly played unannounced shows in costume, the project arrives in the form of debut album ‘Arcadia’, which comes out through Pannonica (Bella Union) in the UK and Terrible Records in the US.
The record’s lead, title-track says it all, but the album’s been recorded entirely in MIDI. This song’s stripped of percussion, instead opting for an abstract and also fairly medieval route. Seriously. It’s the exact opposite of a Chairlift record, although given a couple of minutes Caroline’s vocals become very much the focus of the track.
Alongside the lead song is a dizzy, ultra conceptual video complete with locusts. Lovely.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
