Ooh: Childish Gambino might be releasing new music this year

He’s just signed a new record deal under RCA.
Looks like Childish Gambino’s follow-up to ‘Awaken, My Love!’ could potentially be on its way in 2018.
Donald Glover has just signed a new record and label deal with RCA Records - joining the likes of SZA, Justin Timberlake and more on the label - with his management company and creative agency forming a partnership with the company. As reported by Variety, new music from Childish Gambino is “expected”. In a statement, Donald called the new record deal a “necessary change of pace”.
Last August, Donald revealed that he’d been working on new music while talking to Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1, inspired by living in the UK. “I’ve been working on that here”, he said. “You guys have been instrumental in my music. London has been very inspirational”. Maybe that new music is just a little closer than we thought…
