Out now! DIY’s Class of 2022 issue - feat. Yard Act, Wet Leg, Priya Ragu & more - is out now

Our December 2021 / January 2022 double issue also features CMAT, Paris Texas, Holly Humberstone and loads more!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And no, we don’t just mean that Christmas is right around the corner: it’s finally time to unleash our brand new Class of 2022 on the world, and to say this year’s is a special one would be a mighty understatement.

Ever since catching our eyes and ears with their whipsmart but tongue-in-cheek first single ‘The Trapper’s Pelts’, Yard Act have had us hooked, and so it’s an absolute pleasure - ahead of the release of their debut album early next year - to have them leading the pack as the cover stars of our double issue this month. And what’s more, we’re celebrating tons more brilliant new acts moving in the right direction, all within this month’s magazine.

From the delicious double entendres of Wet Leg through to the genre-blitzing stylings of Paris Texas, via the camp cowboy fantasies of CMAT, our Class of 2022 are blazing quite the trail across music. There’s also chats with Holly Humberstone - the winner of this year’s BRITs Rising Star award - as well as Priya Ragu, Lime Garden, Deb Never, Porij, Role Model, Lauran Hibberd, Sad Night Dynamite and English Teacher. Phew!

That’s not all that’s in our bumper issue: we offer up a glimpse at some of the albums coming our way in 2022, including new uns from Orlando Weeks, Alfie Templeman and Porridge Radio, and we get one of our favourite comedians, Nish Kumar to give us his verdict on some of the biggest tracks of 2021. If that’s not a jam-packed edition, we don’t know what is.

Desperate to dive in and discover your new favourite artist? You should be! Our new December 2021 / January 2022 issue is available to read online right now! And, you can order your very own physical copy of the mag and it’ll land through your letterbox before you can go in for another Quality Street.

As featured in the December 2021 / January 2022 issue of DIY, out now. Scroll down to get your copy.
