“It’s been a great experience being a student here at the Notting Hill Academy of Music, says Daniel, who’s a current student on the course. “I’ve learned so much in such a small space of time about the business side of the music industry. From copyrights to music publishing to the breakdown of a recording contract and more. We’ve had so many great and current figures within the industry come in as guest lectures and this has also given us as students the opportunity to network and build relationships with these people.”
The Academy also hosts weekly masterclasses. BBC 1Xtra and Radio 2 DJ Trevor Nelson has previously appeared as a guest speaker, along with industry insiders from Spotify, Atlantic Records, Universal Music, and loads of other high-profile companies.
