Get Hot to headline free DIY Presents gig this month

Just before summer 2014 seared into the conscience, a new project going by the name of Get Hot thrashed into view. Belonging to Jakwob and FTSE, the band haven’t shown any signs of settling down ever since. Hyped-up shows at Brighton’s The Great Escape did most of the talking - debut single ‘PARTY/DRUGS’ cemented them as a serious force.

Now they’ve signed a deal with Last Gang in the States (Death From Above 1979) and we’re delighted to announce they’ll headline a DIY Presents show at The Islington, 24th November.

Free entry, this is one of the first chances to see a newly-fledged project in vicious, raw form.

Earlier this week, Get Hot unveiled a video for ‘FIGHT’, starring former Olympic Games boxer Billy Taylor, who represented the UK at Munich 1972. Bloodied and bruised to the extreme, he seems to be enjoying himself after all these years. Billy Boyd Cape directs the clip.
