debut album 'Performance' is the result of two years of ever-increasing anticipation being directed towards the Liverpudlians. These guys have gone from strength-to-strength, from sickly, but ever-inventive debut singles to the game-changing 'Another Night's Dreams Reach Earth Again' EP. Throughout they've stuck with the Double Denim label, and DD release the eventual debut on 12th August.
Here's the latest cut, following on from the title-track: 'I Want What's Best'. True to form, it stays resolute to Outfit's self-imposed calling card of writing pop tracks that sneak up and impose themselves on inattentive fools who dare to meddle. Shimmering guitar lines lend themselves to a dark, semi-despondent backdrop of rhythmic piano chimes and machine-like vocals, cold and monotonous by default.
