Listen: The Notwist Stream ‘Kong’ Single
New ‘Close to the Glass’ album is out via City Slang & Sub Pop.

German group The Notwist announced their signing to City Slang & Sub Pop last November, leading the news with the punchy, balls to the wall title-track for new album ‘Close to the Glass’.
They’ve followed it up with ‘Kong’, a sweet as blueberry pie preview of the record; instant from the get-go, with twinkling keys clashing for space with Markus Acher’s sugar-tinged vocals. A proggy outro - all squealing strings and warbling electronics - brings back the hard rock, electronica influences of their early works, so it’s not a complete curveball. Still, it’s a stupidly catchy track all the same.
‘Close to the Glass’ is released on 24th February (UK, City Slang) and 25th February (US, Sub Pop).
