Max Richter’s ‘Memoryhouse’ To Get Deluxe Re-Issue
The Post-Classical composer will also perform the record in full at the Barbican Hall, alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

It’s been 12 whole years since Max Richter first released his debut album ‘Memoryhouse’ on the BBC’s now-defunct Late Junction label - oh how time flies. To mark the the occasion in style, Max Richter is performing the album in full at London’s Barbican Hall (24th Jan). He’ll have the BBC Symphony Orchestra there for added welly, and acclaimed conductor André de Ridder is leading proceedings. Richter’s pastiche of multi-media samples, electronics, and sheer resonating musical craft looks set to be breath-taking live.
To coincide with the world premiere performance of ‘Memoryhouse’, Richter’s debut is also getting the re-issue treatment on FatCat’s 130701 imprint. It’s going to be a double vinyl package, with gatefold sleeves of extended artwork, and all kinds of other extra-deluxe little details. Oh, and the strictly limited one-off run is going to be on coloured vinyl. Post-classical fans everywhere - this is going to be a beautiful looking, and sounding record.
Max Richter will perform ‘Memoryhouse’ in full on the 24th January at London’s Barbican Hall , followed by the deluxe double vinyl reissue release on 27th January 2014. Until then, feast your ears on this stunner:
