News Phoenix Announce Bumper Bonus Tracks For ‘Bankrupt!’

It looks like 71 bonus tracks will be available on top of the 10 tracks that form the album.

Phoenix have announced that they'll be releasing an additional 71 bonus tracks as part of their forthcoming new album release ‘Bankrupt!’.

Yes, you heard that right. For fans who choose to purchase the expanded version of the album, released 22nd April, they will be rewarded with a staggering total of 81 tracks from the band. However, a tweet from the band explained that “although those extra tracks clock it at over an hour (the album plays for 41 minutes), most of them are song fragments that last less than a minute.”

The band began recording for ‘Bankrupt!’ back in early 2011, when the first pictures emerged of the French quartet in the studio. In the lead up to the album's unveiling, the first single to be taken from it - ‘Entertainment’ - has received all sorts of attention and positive reviews. Watch their rather unique clip for it here.

Phoenix will also be headlining Coachella music festival in California this April, followed by performances at T In The Park in July and Reading and Leeds festivals in August.

Alongside that, they'll be playing a date at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on their album release day, 22nd April.
