News Primavera Festival Announces Line Up
Phoenix, My Bloody Valentine, Postal Service, Peace, FIDLAR and more join Blur at the Spanish festival.
Primavera announced a rather special line up last night, with a raft of names old and new joining Blur on the bill at the Spanish festival.
With the festival starting on the 22nd May, Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum will open its doors over the course of the weekend to (and you may need to sit down for this); Phoenix, The Postal Service, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, My Bloody Valentine, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala, John Talabot, Fucked Up, The Knife, Swans The Breeders (doing 'Last Splash' in full), Local Natives, Solange, DIIV, Christopher Owens, Daphne, Merchandise, Disclosure, Peace, Daughter, Wu-Tang Clan, Shellac, Dexys, Band Of Horse, Melody's Echo Chamber, FIDLAR, Shellac, Jessie Ware, Crystal Castles, Liars, and more.
As well as all that music, there will also be a record fair, and a children's concert section (where bands will adapt their music for kids, awww), along with screenings of music documentaries.
With it's impressive line up, the festival takes place over the May Bank Holiday, from the 22nd to the 26th, with events taking place across eight stages. Parc Del Forum itself will open with free sets by The Vaccines, Delorean, The Bots and more on the 22nd. Tickets are available at the price of 160€ until the 6th February (when the price will rise), from Codetickets, Atrapalo, Ticketscript, Ticketmaster, Seetickets, Fnac France. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets for both Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Optimus Primavera Sound 2013 in Oporto full festival ticket costs 235€ until the 4th February.
