Royce Wood Junior shares video for ‘Rover’
Title-track from Londoner’s latest EP gets a nostalgic visual.
London producer Royce Wood Junior released his debut EP last week on 37 Adventures. Today sees the mark of a video for the title track ‘Rover’, which has been given a memory jogging visual accompaniment.
Wood’s soulful and jaunty pop is given a nostalgic trip through some of British TV’s most memorable shows. There’s pictures of Pat Sharp, Richard Whiteley and Carol Vorderman in their Countdown years, and even a picture of Manchester United’s Phil Jones on the sports page of a newspaper.
The video shows an unfortunate presenter has been killed by a sandwich in ‘Rover’s fictional world. Despite the sadness, the Frank Sidebottom influenced protagonist is inspired to fill the void of his predecessor, to much high reception.
