Shy Luv ignite on ‘First Fires’

Shy Luv made a strong start at the tail end of last year with their ‘Shock Horror’ EP, a collection of funk-injected numbers that turned more than a few heads.

Its follow-up single ‘Time’ was even more tropical, and aimed directly at balmy summer nights and festival tents. ‘First Fires’ takes this momentum and runs with it, a house-tinged hit that doesn’t look down. Good job, it’s only up from here for Shy Luv, with comparisons to Disclosure more than justified.

The band are set to play a handful of shows with Foster The People later this month, before an Ibiza date with Dua Lipa.
