Sonic Youth have announced plans to release a brand new live album.

Now, don't go getting your hopes up by thinking that this means they'll be performing together again. As it turns out, the aforementioned release was originally recorded on the 11th August 1985, when the band played at Chicago’s Smart Bar.

The band will release the record on the 14th November, and it contains a fourteen track set, which was recorded on 4-track cassette. The tracklisting looks something like this:

Hallowe’en
Death Valley ’69
Intro/Brave Men Run(In My Family)
I Love Her All The Time
Ghost Bitch
I’m Insane
Kat ‘N’ Hat
Brother James
Kill Yr Idols
Secret Girl
Flower
The Burning Spear
Expressway To Yr Skull
Making The Nature Scene

Mixed and mastered from that original tape source, the live album will be available in digital, CD, and double LP vinyl formats through the band’s own own label Goofin’ Records.
