Stream the NX Records Mixtape 2015

South East London independent NX Records have returned with their 2015 mixtape. Based in New Cross, the label is a collaboration between Accidental Records and the nearby Goldsmiths College, and showcases some of the brightest new talents in the area. Previous mixtapes featured new prospects including These Ghosts, Holy Milk, La Leif, Lightboxes, and Bled White Boy.

This time round it’s an equally diverse mix, leaping from Iiris’ oddball Rn’B soundscapes, to Cub’s fidgeting chimes, bent around pealing brass, right through to Curt Parr’s jarring, squelching industrial experiments. Bunki - one of the stand-out talents from NX Records’ 2014 mixtape - has taken up mixing duties on the follow-up.

The label’s pop-up shop 310NXRD will be returning in October, with a series of live performances, workshops and talks taking place. There will also be new limited run musical goodies on sale. The annual PureGold festival- which many of the artists featured on this mixtape will play - kicked off at London’s Southbank centre earlier this month. It continues throughout May and June with shows taking place across South East London. Full dates here.
