Finally some good news in the world of independent venues - The Owl Sanctuary is to carry on, after being threatened with closure at the start of the year. Moving location to Timber Hill, the venue are aiming to re-open on February 19th at 5pm - “it’s an ambitious deadline but we feel it’s achievable,” they state on their Facebook. “The new music venue and bar will be the same capacity and all shows currently booked after those dates will be going ahead as planned in the new Owl Sanctuary,” the statement continues, thanking those who donated to the crowdfunding page and campaign set up for their benefit by local magazine Outline and the Campaign For Real Ale.
