Copy Haho - You Are My Coalmine

Juvenile yet still a thrusting success.

DIY is muddled. Teenage Lust! Is meant to be a MC5 track. Or at least the really quite kick ass sixth Track of Times New Viking’s noisily perfect Present The Paisley Reich. More fool us. It also turns out to be the moniker for a new-ish record label.

Resting in an ‘I am – You are’ line of lyricism ‘You Are My Coalmine’ from scots Copy Haho, sneaks along lustily enough. The his / her pattern works alongside the almost-ferocious instrumentation and the odd wickedly written witticisms. While not really popping, it’s certainly not a bad first effort.

Pitched in the blurry region between full band noise-fest and tender indie-anthem this is juvenile yet still a thrusting success.
