Over the past couple of years there’s been an abundance of excellent Scandinavian pop artists, and quite a few have been from Stockholm.

Stockholm based China have previously recorded as Mother of Pearl but with her new moniker she’s adding a distinctly international feel to her brand of Scandinavian electronic pop. ’Hide’ is co-produced by China and Daniel Tjäder (of both The Radio Dept. and Korallreven) and the resulting track is a glorious mix of Scandipop and the R&B-nodding sounds of UK labels PMR and Black Butter.

While it’s only been a few days since China debuted ’Hide’ she’s already established herself as one of the most exciting acts in Sweden right now. While there’s no date set yet she’s currently working on her debut EP and if ’Hide’ is anything to go by it’ll be a must-hear.
