Having dabbled in dream pop with Four Visions, Daniel Abary decided to form Rips with some of his friends from work. This latest project has seen him tear up the rule book for immersive pop songs with something rawer and more energetic being produced. The sound that Rips pursue is the kind that will ring around dingy venues overflowing with crowdsurfers and enthusiastic fans invading stages on a quest to bellow lyrics down beaten up microphones.

‘Gone’ is a garage rock offering of the highest order containing crunchy guitar riffs that rattle along amongst the fuzz. Sunny melodies are prominent, whilst the vocals are delivered effortlessly. Rips have successfully incorporated all the best elements from indie, surf rock and punk to create a sound that will soon be lapped up in all the super cool hangouts in Brooklyn.
