THE GIG
The Night VI, Ada - London, The Lexington

Parlophone signing The Night VI played a Neu presents show back in June and packed the venue out with intrigued onlookers (and Tom Odell). This sold out jaunt at The Lexington promises to be similarly in-demand, not least because it goes down a couple of weeks ahead of debut EP ‘Still Thinking of You’.

THE SONG
Totem - See-Saw Girl

Moshi Moshi Singles Club have made some pretty nifty choices so far this year. Casual Sex head up a bill of intelligent studio knowhows who have an inkling for writing immediate, quickfire pop. London trio Totem up the anti. Their sound is one of attention-grabbing baritone and eye-gouging guitar interchange. Rhythmic, dynamic ‘See-Saw Girl’ is a perfect to and fro of sharply executed excellence.

OTHER NEU BUSINESS
elkkie - Doe Dear Opis / See See Double You
Cardiac EP by elkkle

Three producers in three days pushing the boat out, surely heading for bigger things in the process. Yesterday and the day before we hoisted up Trust and BLACK VANILLA for potential attention. Melbourne’s elkkie is similarly deserving of your attention. His jerky, organic-meets-glitchy electronica is destined to end up on an Aussie label like Future Classic, or something bigger, even.
