THE GIG
Drop Out Venus, Skinny Girl Diet, Ben Dodson - London, Sebright Arms

Before we catch sight of ‘Glamour’, Drop Out Venus bring us ‘Glitz’, launching the one half of their double EP pledge. If all of ‘Glitz”s tracks live up to the momentous ‘Death Is Screaming’, tonight’s launch show is going to be quite the spectacle.

THE SONG
Freddie Dickson - The End
The End by Freddie Dickson

London-based newcomer Freddie Dickson released his debut EP ‘Shut Us Down’ yesterday on Heart Throb Records (co-run by Neu Editor Jamie Milton, we should add): a four-track EP of impressive quality. White all four track could easily be labelled as highlights perhaps true star of the collection is second track ‘The End’. On ‘The End’ Dickson chronicles the end of a relationship and the back-and-forth-feelings which surround it, set against a beautifully melancholic set of drums and guitars by producer John Davies. [Johan Alm]

OTHER NEU BUSINESS

Every note rings out like a source of calm. Long may this ‘continuer’, etc.
