THE GIG
Jaakko Eino Kalevi - London, Servant Jazz Quarters

Helsinki-based Jaakko Eino Kalevi has signed up to Domino imprint Weird World for the release of his next EP - judging by the songs unveiled so far, it’s a wild fusion of Twin Peaks-worthy mistiness and some funk & dub nodding oddball-pop.

THE BIG NEU THING
Johanna Glaza - Gravity Of Your Face

London songwriter Johanna Glaza’s debut EP is filled to the brim with stirring, explorative works. They’re complex beings; swimming around in different directions rather than floating in a happy stream. ‘Gravity of Your Face’ is arguably the most emotionally fraught track on ‘Silence Is Kind’. Less mumbling, more mourning, there’s a distinct, gleaming beauty to his early work, and that’s what makes a track like ‘Collapse’ stand out.
